Metallica have announced the full details of the lineup for their Orion Music + More Festival, which will take place the weekend of June 23 and 24 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This includes the addition of a punk and thrash stage, dubbed Damage Inc.
Artists who will perform on the Damage Inc. stage include Suicidal Tendencies, Sepultura, Torche, Red Fang, Kyng, Landmine Marathon, Black Tusk, and Thy Will Be Done.
As previously announced, Metallica will perform two headlining sets. One night, they will play their landmark “Black Album” from start to finish, and the other night they will play Ride the Lightning in its entirety for the first time ever.
Not yet announced is the lifestyle portion of the fest, which will reflect the different members of Metallica’s interests.

Rock on the Range returns for its sixth year boasting a massive lineup covering the rock spectrum. America’s premier destination rock festival will be held May 18–20 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, featuring performances from Incubus, Rob Zombie, Shinedown, Marilyn Manson, Five Finger Death Punch, Slash, Megadeth, Chevelle, Cypress Hill, Mastodon, and many more.
“Incubus is stoked to be joinin’ the killer lineup at Rock On The Range this year. We’ll see y’all in Columbus,” comments Brandon Boyd from festival co-headliner Incubus.
“If you thought last time was a blast, then this time we are gonna blow your fucking mind,” says co-headliner Rob Zombie.
To get the party started and based on the success of last year’s anniversary celebration, the weekend will kick off with the Friday Night 4Play, which is absolutely free with every Rock on the Range weekend ticket purchase. The May 18 party will feature performances from Hairball, Foxy Shazam, Hells Bells, and more.

Monster Energy returns as one of the driving partners behind the success of Rock on the Range as more than 15 acts perform on the mammoth Monster Main Stage. Jägermeister also celebrates its fifth year as a key partner while welcoming 12 of the hottest up-and-coming bands to the in-your-face, up close and personal Jägermeister Music Stage. In all, Rock on the Range features three stages, 44 bands, and three days of non-stop rock.
“There are so many incredible bands playing at ROTR this year, and every one of them is significant,” says Del Williams, co-executive producer of the event for Right Arm Entertainment. “I think this is the most interesting mix of bands that we have had at the festival. The Rangers already know that the weekend is going to be insanely great, but there will be surprises this year and a certain edge to the lineup that will likely create some of the most memorable moments in the six-year history of Rock on the Range.”

Hard rockers Kyng have just released a live video for the song “Falling Down,” below, which they filmed at some of their concerts. The song is taken from the band’s debut album Trampled Sun, which was released last month. REVOLVER What’s this song about?
EDDIE VELIZ Well, initially the angle was partially politically inspired, at least the sparks of the themes of misleading incentives into choosing who and what you stand for. But ideally the driven theme is inevitable conformity despite individuals striving to do their own thing and express something they think is new and brave in order to break free. It’s saying that, for the most part, it doesn’t matter what you’re trying to free yourself…the paths of change have already been prepackaged for you, and the definitions have already been coined.
Because you’re still trying to be that person that you need to be in order to not be apart, but it all fades just like the love you said that would never change, but does, because you were locked in from the moment you started making “decisions.” That whole bag was derived from a feeling of being young and fresh and promising yourself that you’d never be what you already are.
Which part of it did you come up with first?
The verse riff came first along with the breakdowns and turn around. The whole bit was lifted from vintage tones I was shifting through—I wanted this big ’60s riff that swung with a Hendrix vibe. Then I began floating melodies over it that I knew had to be as simplistically discernable as the riff, and that would fly with a high range power. The whole thing has such an easy heavy foundation that the vocals had to sustain like a banshee. And that was the beginning of that really, and then of course Tony came up with those ominous opening lines and the breakdown ending that really contains the smash quality of “Trampled Sun.”
Was this an easy song to record?
It was fairly easy to record by the time we did. We were so rehearsed having run it in the set for at least a year prior. I think the most difficult part of writing it was to piece the bridge on it, because of the momentum that rallies the backbeat. It drops out, out of nowhere and the chord progression enters into a light of colors that flows into this Beatles-esque homage almost leading you to a musical serenity and then looks back to get swallowed into this huge relentless chugging riff. It’s a ride and we’re very happy with it.
What sort of feedback have you gotten on this song so far?
We’ve gotten great feedback from fans about it and people hearing it live for the first time really seem to be drawn in by its familiar stature and then blown back by its power. It’s so reminiscent and chock full of those tasteful ’60s power riffs that no matter who you are, if you grew up listening to the classics, you’ll recognize the feel.
