Lizzy Borden and White Wizzard had the the Whisky A GoGo painted blood red on April 13. The show was the first headlining Lizzy Borden gig in L.A. in over a decade and the kickoff performance of their 30th Anniversary tour. Our own Stephanie Cabral was there to catch the action. While a who’s who of the music industry was descending on California’s NAMM show last month, a pre-party on January 23 kicked off the whole event with Michael Angelo Batio performing followed by an all-star jam including members of Anthrax, Queensryche, Rising Force, Racer X, The Iron Maidens, Holy Grail, Lizzy Borden, Lynch Mob, Leatherwolf, Hurricane, and others. As 2012 draws closer, we’re celebrating the things that have made this year great. One that stands out is all of the great concerts that took place all over the world in 2011. We’ve been posting photos from events such as the Big Four, the Revolver Golden Gods, the Wacken Festival, and many other notable concerts throughout the year right here on Revolvermag.com. Now we’re celebrating the best of the best: 75 photos of bands ranging from Metallica at the Big Four to Avenged Sevenfold’s jam with Hellyeah and Pantera’s Vinnie Paul at the Revolver Golden Gods. We can only hope next year has as many amazing moments.
