Huntress will release their new album, Starbound Beast, on June 28 in Europe and on July 2 in North America via Napalm Records. Today the band has unveiled the first song from Starbound Beast. The track, entitled “I Want to Fuck You to Death,” was cowritten for singer Jill Janus by legendary Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister.

Huntress vocalist Jill Janus says of the collaboration, “I met Lemmy through my former band Chelsea Girls. We’d play hard-rock and metal covers featuring guest celebrities. Lemmy was already friends with the girls, so he played ‘Ace of Spades’ with us and it blew my mind. We stayed in touch and would meet up at The Rainbow for drinks. So I asked him a few months back over Jack & Cokes if he’d write lyrics for a Huntress song and he said ‘Sure.’ A few weeks later, I met him at the studio during Motörhead recording sessions. Lemmy handed me two two pieces of notebook paper with the lyrics for ‘I Want to Fuck You to Death.’ I am beyond honored. To me, this is a love song. It is the most romantic song I’ve ever heard.”

Lemmy also spoke of the collaboration: “The first time I heard Jill’s voice with Chelsea Girls, it was phenomenal. I wrote these lyrics from her point of view, the Huntress. ‘I Want to Fuck You to Death’ was inspired by her, written for her. I’ve always had a soft spot for her. And a hard spot, too…”

The song is available as an exclusive stream on the Huntress Facebook Page. When visiting the facebook page, clicking the “like” button will enable the audio.

The 2012 edition of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival kicked off in San Bernadino, California, this weekend with the biggest show of its five-year history. Over 26,000 headbanging fans were in attendance to witness Slipknot, Slayer, Motörhead, Anthrax, As I Lay Dying, the Devil Wears Prada, and many more bringing, well, mayhem. Our own Stephanie Cabral was there, too, capturing all the action. Check out her pics below.

“We just hung out and told some good stories,” Taylor tells Revolver. “It felt good to do that. It was the first time we’ve been able to hang out and talk about him without crumbling. It was good. We laughed about the old memories. It meant something. It definitely meant something.”

Gray was found dead in Urbandale, Iowa on May 24, 2010. Police found pills at the scene. Toxicology results, released June 21, revealed that Gray had died from an overdose of morphine and fentanyl.

Original Slipknot guitarist Donnie Steele has filled in for Gray on past Slipknot shows and will play with the band on their upcoming Rockstar Energy Mayhem headline dates.

“Even though Paul’s not with us, everybody’s right, he would not want us to just stop being what we are,” Taylor says. “We headlined the first Mayhem run [futureusgalleryin 2008], and now we’re coming back and doing it again [futureusgallerythis summer], albeit it under different circumstances. But I think it’s going to be great. Plus, I’ll have my family out with me so it’s going to be like summer vacation, only more masks.”

In addition to preparing for the Mayhem tour, Taylor and guitarist Jim Root have been diligently working on the next Stone Sour album, which will be a double-disc concept album about reaching a crossroad in life and having to choose which direction to take, the responsible path or the one that might be more exciting and dangerous. In 18 days, Stone Sour will announce the title of the album, the plot details, and the release date.

“It’s fucking massive,” Taylor says. “I can’t wait for people to fucking hear it.”

On the surface, it looks like life has been good to Disturbed frontman David Draiman. Even if his band is preparing to go on “indefinite hiatus” at the end of 2011, Disturbed have had an incredible creative and commercial run. The band’s 2000 debut album, The Sickness, is certified quadruple platinum, 2002’s Believe is double platinum, and the band’s remaining three discs are gold. Even 2010’s Asylum sold 500,000 copies, which is no small accomplishment in today’s marketplace of diminished album sales and rampant illegal downloads.

But Draiman says his life has been filled with trauma, frustration, and sadness, and that he has vented his emotional instability through Disturbed’s turbulent melodic metal. His bandmates have even joked with him that it’s a good thing Draiman has experienced so much drama in his life, otherwise Disturbed might not have anything to write about. Since the band’s most recent album is called Asylum, and considering that he and his bandmates are planning to hide away from the public eye for a while after this summer’s Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, Revolver recently asked Draiman to reveal the five times in his life that he’s most needed a place to get away.

Birth
“When I popped out of my mother’s womb, right then and there I knew the world was a harsh place.”

Prison
“My father was sent to jail when I was 12 years old, and I felt like they were stealing him away from me. It was some blue collar nonsense . It wasn’t insider trading or anything–my father wasn’t that smart. I wouldn’t give him that much credit.”

Abandonment
“When my ex- fiancée left me, I was completely caught of guard. I felt misled, betrayed, the whole nine yards. She just left. It wasn’t a very easy time. There was no one to come to my aid because I had just moved to Austin, Texas, to an empty house with no girl. It was the darkest time–sort of a self-imposed asylum.”

Miscarriage
“I lost my unborn child four or five years ago with my ex. It happened in the middle of the second trimester so we were totally ready to happen and it didn’t last through the term. That was what ‘My Child’ on the record is about.”

Death
“My faithful companion Lisa, died, and I definitely needed asylum after that. I got her when she was eight weeks old. She died in a little over seven years. She had osteosarcoma, which is a really aggressive form of bone cancer, during the Music is a Weapon run. Within two weeks, it took her. That was pretty terrible. Poor baby.”

Or rather the Metalocalypse. His band delivers their one and only performance this year at Mayhem Fest’s kickoff show on July 9 in San Bernardino, California. In celebration of both events, Explosion was kind enough to put together this list of Mayhem Fest Survival Tips—mostly because, as he says, “our Dethklok manager Charles asked me to write this because he thought it would help my ‘I hate the fans’ image, even though I think it’s totally cool to hate your fans. I mean, I don’t want to start pandering like Lady Gaga…”

1. Do not wear deodorant
“That’s for fancy Wall Street pussies. This is a metal show. You should smell bad. And if you smell bad enough then the crowd will separate when you walk through so you can get beers easier.”

2. Bring extra shoes
“Shoes have a strange way of flying off your feet when you get knocked on your ass in the mosh pit. You don’t want to walk home in broken glass with no shoes, right? Wait. Scratch that. It’s way cooler to walk in broken glass with no shoes. Don’t bring any shoes.”

3. Don’t let your epileptic seizure ruin anyone’s good time
“If you’re going to have an epileptic seizure because of the flashing lights, loud music, etc., please excuse yourself and have it privately in the bushes. It tends to bum people out. And Disturbed need you happy so you can buy their merch.”

4. Be nice to the ladies
“There are only four of them here. You’ll blow your chances if you act like a dick wad, and the odds are stacked against you as it is.”

5. The sun is hot
“Here’s a great way to cool down: Take off your shirt and coat yourself in butter. I’m telling you here. It’s a really good idea.”

6. Vomiting
“To protect our environment, please vomit in trashcans and not the recycling bins. Unless you’ve eaten recyclable things like plastic or broken glass—then go ahead and honk into the recycling bins.

“Hope this helps. Enjoy the Mayhem Festival, and do please go die.”
