On May 24th, the third and final chapter of the Maryland Deathfest: The Movie series will be released. To celebrate the release of Maryland Deathfest: The Movie III, the following clip of Saint Vitus performing their song “I Bleed Black” has been released.

Saint Vitus Premiere New Video for “Let Them Fall”

Doom-metal legends Saint Vitus are releasing their first new album since 1995, Lillie: F-65, on April 27. You can get a taste of the disc by watching the premiere of their video for the song “Let Them Fall,” which was directed by Michael Panduro for Siegfried Productions in conjunction with Scion A/V. Review: Yob – Atma

On their fifth album, Eugene, Oregon power-doom colossus Yob have somehow tightened their telekinetic bond, maintaining sucker-punch grooves in the stickiest, most viscous sludgefuck quicksand ever. For 16 minutes at a time, Yob lurch along the line between of joy and agony, turning waves of pure detuned gunk into unlikely crust-rock anthems—if you’re into pumping your fist very slowly. The biggest leap forward however is frontman Mike Scheidt, whose anguished yowl increasingly sounds like St. Vitus’s Wino Weinrich being waterboarded, and whose guitar is one step away from industrial machinery. Metalliance Tour Chicago Stop Moved Due to Gang Shooting

The 2011 Metalliance Tour has moved its Chicago show, scheduled to take place this Sunday, due to recent gang-related activity in the vicinity of the venue. The city imposed a seven-day hold on the venue’s operations license after a fight started in the club and spilled out into the street, resulting in a handgun being fired at least six times. No one was shot but two people involved in the fight were arrested. The show has moved to a new venue called Bada Brew but will otherwise go on as scheduled. All tickets will be honored.

The tour features Helmet, Saint Vitus, Crowbar, Kylesa, Red Fang, Howl, and Atlas Moth, who could all probably hold their own in a gang fight if they had to. Check out the remaining dates below.

The 2011 Metalliance Tour dates have officially been announced. The tour, sponsored by Revolver, Loudtrax.com, Brooklyn Vegan, Mosh Potatoes Cookbook and Giddy Up! Sauces, is proud to announce Helmet, Saint Vitus, and Crowbar for its inaugural lineup.

As previously announced, Helmet will perform 1992's platinum-selling Meantime in it's entirety, while doom-metal legends Saint Vitus will do a full U.S. tour for the first time in over a decade. VIP tickets are also available courtesy of Artist Arena. The package includes a meet-and-greet with the Metalliance lineup, a Metalliance hot sauce bottle, a commemorative VIP show laminate, an autographed poster, and an issue of Revolver. One ticket buyer will also be randomely selected as a grand prize winner, which includes a dinner with the bands, an autographed Mosh Potatoes Cookbook, and one T-shirt from each of the bands. A second-place winner will be selected for a one-on-one guitar lesson with Kirk Windstein and an autographed Mosh Potatoes Cookbook.
