We’ve already announced that Korn have taken Album of the Year honors for their innovative and controversial electronic-music-infused LP, The Path of Totality, but you’ll have to read the issue to see the other 19 records that made the cut. In the meantime, we’re asking you to choose 2011′s Song of the Year. We’ve put together a list of the biggest and baddest songs in hard rock and heavy metal below (all of which were released as singles in 2011, even if some originally came out previously), all you have to do is pick the best. And feel free to vote as many times as you want–until the poll ends on Monday, December 19. So without further ado, getcha pull!

Currently the trio has their first two singles from latest release, Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray, sitting comfortably in the Top 15 of the Active Rock charts. As things stand they are the only band to hold such an honor. The debut single “Country Song” racked up more weeks at No. 1 than any other release this year, with 11, and has also amassed more airplay than any other Active Rock hit in 2011. This achievement has been backed-up with latest release “Tonight” climbing into the number 14 position having been released four weeks ago.

The band will continue their triumphant year to date when they head out on the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival later this month, headlining alongside acts including Avenged Sevenfold. Check out their full touring schedule below the clip:

Other artists on this year’s bill include: Three Days Grace, Seether, Escape the Fate, Sevendust, and Bullet For My Valentine.

“When we started hearing from our fans they wanted to see us back on UPROAR this year, we thought, last year was a blast so let’s do it again. The fans are crazy and the bands kick ass,” says Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows. “We’re spending the first half of summer playing some big European festivals so we’re going to be ready to get back home and play America’s top rock festival.”

Avenged Sevenfold, who recently headlined the 2011 Revolver Golden Gods, are featured in the new issue of Revolver which highlights this year’s awards show. Avenged Sevenfold won three of the four fan-voted awards they were nominated for. Buy the issue here.

Following up 2007’s gold-selling Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces, South African post-grunge trio Seether return with their most complete album to date. Opening with a slick, wailing guitar solo, “No Resolution” recalls Purple-era Stone Temple Pilots, while the inevitable single “Tonight” feels like a natural sequel to Seether’s own smash hit “Rise Above This.” Other stellar tracks include the hauntingly bitter “Master of Disaster” and the stomping “Desire for Need,” one of the heaviest songs the band has released. Held together by Shaun Morgan’s alternately gritty and smooth vocals, Holding onto Strings Better Left to Fray should forever distinguish Seether from all the clichéd radio-rock schlock flooding the airwaves.
