At Revolver, we are bringing this year to a close and making lists like we’re starring in a metal version of High Fidelity. Our January issue of Revolver (on newsstands now) features our Top 20 Albums of the Year. Online, we have posts and polls (like Best Music Videos), as well as a tribute to some musical heroes we lost this year.
In the meantime, we’re asking you to choose 2012′s Song of the Year. We’ve put together a list of the biggest and baddest songs in hard rock and heavy metal below; all you have to do is pick the best. And feel free to vote as many times as you want–until the poll ends on January 1.

Rock Vegas, powered by Rockstar Energy Drink, has just announced the daily band lineup for what is being called “Sin City’s loudest two-day rock music festival.”
Godsmack, Shinedown, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson and many more are all set to hit the stage during the two-day festival, which will take place September 28 and 29 at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.
“I am packing up the trucks with everything I need to destroy Sin City’s loudest music festival,” said Rob Zombie. “I know Las Vegas has seen it all, but you ain’t seen nothing like this.”

Rock on the Range returns for its sixth year boasting a massive lineup covering the rock spectrum. America’s premier destination rock festival will be held May 18–20 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, featuring performances from Incubus, Rob Zombie, Shinedown, Marilyn Manson, Five Finger Death Punch, Slash, Megadeth, Chevelle, Cypress Hill, Mastodon, and many more.
“Incubus is stoked to be joinin’ the killer lineup at Rock On The Range this year. We’ll see y’all in Columbus,” comments Brandon Boyd from festival co-headliner Incubus.
“If you thought last time was a blast, then this time we are gonna blow your fucking mind,” says co-headliner Rob Zombie.
To get the party started and based on the success of last year’s anniversary celebration, the weekend will kick off with the Friday Night 4Play, which is absolutely free with every Rock on the Range weekend ticket purchase. Monster Energy returns as one of the driving partners behind the success of Rock on the Range as more than 15 acts perform on the mammoth Monster Main Stage.
