The Pretty Reckless will release their second album, titled Going to Hell, later this year. The hard-rock band have been and will continue to release updates on what they are calling “Hell Mondays.” The latest is via the lyric video below, which was released today online, at GoingToHell.xxx.

The Pretty Reckless–led by frontwoman Taylor Momsen–have announced “Hell Mondays” in lead up to their second album, titled Going to Hell, which is due out in late 2013. The hard-rock band will release new updates on what they are calling “Hell Mondays.” The first taste is via the trailer below, released yesterday online, at GoingToHell.xxx.

“This is not a new chapter in the life of the band; it’s a new book,” says Momsen. “The band has matured and our sound has evolved dramatically. The record took almost a year to make. It’s gratifying knowing it’s nearing completion. I’m very excited to get new music out for our fans very soon.” She adds, “The .xxx domain name seemed appropriately fitting and ‘Hell Mondays’ are intended to give our fans something to look forward to on what is arguably the most hellish day of the week.”

The Pretty Reckless are working on the new album at Water Music in New Jersey, which had been severely damaged last fall by Hurricane Sandy. Going to Hell follows the group’s debut LP Light Me Up which went on to sell over 250,000 albums worldwide. After tours with Guns N’ Roses, Evanescence and Marilyn Manson in 2012, The Pretty Reckless will announce touring plans soon.

After over two weeks of furious voting that saw over 400,000 ballots cast, the results are in on our Song of the Year readers’ poll, and the winner is…prog-metal upstarts Periphery (pictured above) for their “Make Total Destroy.”

Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless, one of Revolver Magazine’s Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock (See her on page 63), can be seen in a new spoken-word video, during which she reads a verse from her song “Under the Water.”

Although it’s hard to tell at first, Momsen, 19, appears completely naked in the video.

Here’s the verse she reads in the video, which was created as part of Amp Rock TV’s initiative, “The Words”:

“Lay my head under the water, lay my head under the sea. Excuse me sir am I your daughter? Won’t you take me back and see? It’s not a time for being younger and all my friends are enemies. And if I cried unto my mother, she wasn’t there for me. Broken lines across my mirror show my face all red and bruised.
