Today, RevolverMag.com presents the exclusive premiere of Upon Wings’ new music video for “Afterlife,” featuring guest vocals and production from Brett Hestla (Dark New Day, former Creed).

“The idea of the song, and the video, is based around the experience of losing a loved one and coming through that with the faith you’ll see that person again,” said frontwoman Anne Autumn Erickson (pictured above). “The vision for the video evolved over time. The idea was for a more traditional-looking video at first, but as we started to put together a theme, it took on a more contemporary feel.”

“Afterlife” is from the Michigan-based band’s upcoming EP by the same name, which will be released March 5. The single is available now from iTunes and AmazonMP3.

Kid Rock recording engineer and Grammy-nominated mixing engineer Glenn Brown mastered the EP, and more assistance came from Canadian producer and guitarist Kevin Jardine and drummer Peter Tzaferis. Recording sessions for the single took place at Johnny K’s Groovemaster Studios in Chicago, where Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Staind and countless others have laid down tracks.
