When William Shatner needed some help recording a cover of Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man” for his Seeking Major Tom album, he turned to none other than Ozzy’s longtime ax-man Zakk Wylde for a little help.

And how did Shatner repay the Bearded One? By ripping him a new one at least year’s Rock and Roll Roast of Zakk Wylde. Check out Shatner’s roast video below!

Want to attend the live taping of this year’s Rock and Roll Roast of Dee Snider, presented by Epiphone & Monster Energy, on Thursday, January 24, at the Grove in Anaheim, California? The Roast is open to the public this year and will air live on AXS TV at midnight ET (9 p.m. PT).

A portion of the proceeds will benefit MusiCares, a nonprofit organization of The Recording Academy that provides emergency financial assistance and addiction recovery resources to music people in need. Snider was recently named one of the 100 greatest living rock stars by Revolver.

Legendary actor and recording artist William Shatner recently unleashed his new double-album, Seeking Major Tom, featuring cameos from hard-rock and metal notables like Zakk Wylde, Mike Inez, Ritchie Blackmore, and Michael Schenker on covers of Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, and others. Now Shatner, who was named the Honorary Headbanger at the 2011 Revolver Golden Gods award show in April, has released the frickin’ amazing music video for his rendition of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” featuring John Wetton of King Crimson. Now Shatner, who was named the Honorary Headbanger at the 2011 Revolver Golden Gods award show in April, has released amazing video of him recording his vocals for the song. The Star Trek captain unleashes his new double-album, Seeking Major Tom (Cleopatra), on October 11.

Acting legend and recipient of the Honorary Headbanger Award at this year’s Revolver Golden Gods has finally released his version of Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man.” The Star Trek captain holed up with Black Label Society and former Ozzy Osbourne axman Zakk Wylde and Alice in Chains bassist Mike Inez earlier this year to record the track, which can be found on his new double-album, Seeking Major Tom (Cleopatra), which comes out on October 11. Presales for the album start today right here!

Of working with Wylde, Shatner commented, “He’s fantastic! I’m energized.” Wylde was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Shatner and added, “He’s super cool, we had an awesome time working together.”
