Unless you’ve been living in a cave (and if you have–badass!), you’ve seen the “sexy” mug shot that has apparently gone viral enough to make news headlines. All we could think on seeing said headlines is 1) our world is fucked, and 2) this dude is set. Hello, modeling deal! Of course, the newly famous […]

The 2014 Revolver Golden Gods went down a little over a month ago, and the VH1 Classic highlights special just premiered last weekend. A tribute to Slipknot’s fallen bassist, who passed away one year ago today.
As we bid farewell to a year full of tragedy, the new issue of Revolver magazine—available on newsstands everywhere on December 21—remembers many of hard rock and metal’s most dearly departed. The cover features a stunning painting by legendary comic-book artist J.G. Jones, acclaimed for his work on Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, as well as for co-creating the series Wanted, which was adapted into a 2008 movie starring Angelina Jolie. Jones depicts Ronnie James Dio, Slipknot’s Paul Gray, Avenged Sevenfold’s the Rev, Type O Negative’s Peter Steele, Pantera’s Dimebag Darrell, Metallica’s Cliff Burton, Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain, Ozzy Osbourne’s Randy Rhoads, Queen’s Freddie Mercury, and Alice in Chains’ Layne Staley rocking together in heaven. The cover painting also appears as a free poster with the issue.
Revolver Magazine's Mayhem Fest "Monster Issue" (July/August 2010) is on newsstands now, featuring four collectible "horror" covers featuring the frontmen of the tour's main-stage headliners: Jonathan Davis of Korn, Rob Zombie, Randy Blythe of Lamb of God, and Ivan Moody of Five Finger Death Punch. Its four covers are available for purchase as a set at Revolver's online store. It contains an in-depth feature on the making of Korn's new album, Korn III: Remember Who You Are, as well as Zombie's, Blythe's, and Moody's most terrifying tales, an interview with In This Moment's Maria Brink and Chris Howorth that's revealing in more ways than one, and onstage war stores from members of Atreyu, Hatebreed, Kingdom of Sorrow, Norma Jean, Chimaira, Shadows Fall, 3 Inches of Blood, and Winds of Plague.
Also, Ozzy, Hellyeah, Dillinger Escape Plan, Faith No More, Danzig, Ronnie James Dio, Paul Gray, and more!
