Megadeth performed a two song set last night, December 15, on 'Late Night with Seth Meyers.' Video footage of the band performing "Dystopia" and "Tornado of Souls" on the show can be seen below.

Metallica surprised shoppers in a Hollywood Gelson's supermarket yesterday, December 15, by breaking out into an impromptu performance of "Enter Sandman." A video clip of the band singing along with the deli clerk can be streamed below.

The surprise supermarket show came in advance of the band's intimate performance at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles. All ticket sale proceeds were donated towards Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.

After a two-year battle with cirrhosis of the liver, Eyehategod vocalist Mike IX Williams has successfully undergone a lifesaving liver transplant. His wife, Michelle Maher-Williams, shared the following updates via Facebook:

"This morning we got the call we'd been waiting for…..They found a donor match for Michael!!! After waiting all day to hear something, they just took him down to prep for the transplant! They should start the actual surgery in about an hour. I'll keep you posted on his progress. Please send good thoughts"

"Surgeon just came out to talk to me – it's over! Everything went well. New liver is functioning and making bile. They're taking him to ICU now and I can see him in about an hour."

After launching a crowd funding campaign via YouCaring, fans donated close to $70,000 to help with medical expenses.

Last night, December 14, Metallica appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.' The band performed a six song set to a packed out crowd, which included the new song, "Atlas Rise!" as well as five of their hits. Footage can be seen below.

In addition to the performance, the band were interviewed by Kimmel and did a "Who Knows Metallica" game show sketch with a super fan where they have to answer questions about the band. The wagers were high; If superfan Dave won, he would get a signed guitar, but if the band won, they would win his wallet. FInd out who the winner is in the sketch below. 

The band will be performing an intimate show in Los Angeles tonight at the Fonda Theatre. All proceeds from the sale of tickets to this show will be donated to Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

Coheed and Cambria have released the official music video for the song "Colors," which appears on their eighth studio album, 'The Color Before The Sun: Deconstructed.' The video can be streamed below.

"Colors brings us to the end of our album cycle, a tribute to all the fans that made it a successful one," commented frontman Claudio Sanchez.

Every Time I Die have partnered up with Barrier Brewing Co. for two new signature beers, "Hop Damn! IPA," an American style IPA with a 7.5% ABV and "New Black IPA," for which the details are not yet available.

The band have invited fans to celebrate the release in their hometown of Buffalo, N.Y. on December 22 and December 23 at Allen Burger Venture (ABV). The event will kick off at 4:00 P.M. each night and will continue until last call. The release parties each happen in advance of the band's upcoming Christmas show parties, where they will be performing two sets a night at The Waiting Room in Buffalo. Anthrax and Killswitch Engage have announced "The Killthrax Tour," a North American co-headliner which will kick off on March 29 in Montclair, N.J. and will end on May 7 in Boston, M.A. Presented by SiriusXM, the bands will be supported by The Devil Wears Prada.

"Anthrax and Killswitch will be a really good blend for fans," commented Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante. "We both play metal, but we play two different forms of the genre. I think fans of both bands are in for a 'Total Explosion of the Senses.'"

Anthrax bassist Frank Bello added: "This Anthrax/KSE tour is a powerful ball of energy ready to unleash the metal in the U.S."

"Anthrax and Killswitch — KillThrax! Holy crap!," exclaimed Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian. "I am so excited about these upcoming shows with our old friends Killswitch Engage. Get out your pit pants and start stretching now for all the glorious action and fun!"

Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach also added: "We are so stoked to tour with thrash legends Anthrax! We are sure this will bring a powerhouse of a live show with the combination of both bands. This is, hands down, the most excited we've been to tour alongside a band in a long while. This will be one you won't want to miss. KillThrax is coming for you!!!!"

During last night's 2016 Epiphone Revolver Music Awards, which took place at Webster Hall in New York City, some of metal's finest came together on the black carpet to celebrate heavy metal. Hosted by Megadeth's Dave Mustaine and Sirius XM Liquid Metal's Jose Mangin, the ceremony was livestreamed via Twitch TV, Facebook, RevolverMag.com and GuitarWorld.com.

The sold-out event saw performances by Megadeth, Anthrax, Stitched Up Heart, Lacuna Coil, Zakk Wylde and an all-star tribute band jam featuring Heidi and Carla of the Butcher Babies, Jim Root of Slipknot, Dirk Verbeuren of Megadeth, Bumblefoot, Ace Frehley of Kiss, Leigh Kakaty of Pop Evil, Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil, Jeff Waters of Annihilator and Nick Caggiano of Mutoid Man.
