"This song is an example of how a basic, rock-driven song can still be a powerful thing in musical standards and lyrical content, as well," frontman Phil Anselmo said of the track while speaking to Decibel.

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich was the associate producer for 'The Architect,' a comedy film that will be screened tonight, October 13, at the Mill Valley Film Festival in Mill Valley, CA at 7:00 P.M. at the Sequoia Theater.
Written by Catherine di Napoli and Jonathan Parker, who also directed the film, 'The Architect' stars Eric McCormack, Parker Posey, and James Frain. In the movie, husband and wife Colin and Drew hire a modern architect to build their dream home. However, they do not realize that he is actually building his own dream home instead.
During this evening's screening, Lars Ulrich and Parker Posey will participate in a special Q&A session.
'The Architect' had previously been released earlier this year at the Vancouver International Film Festival. While the film had been completed two years earlier, the development of CGI effects delayed the release.

Avenged Sevenfold has dropped "The Stage," a brand new single. The song and its accompanying music video can be streamed below.
Last week, after numerous Avenged Sevenfold fans started report spotting the deathbat logo being projected up on buildings and billboards across the world, there was much speculation as to what the band might have in store. While no official news has yet been announced, the band has launched a "deathbot" through the landing page of their official website where fans can ask questions pertaining to the band. Upon typing in the keywords "new album," the deathbot revealed, "The answer to that question will be given at a special LIVE EVENT on October 27th." In contrast to that, the keyword "tour" procures a snarkier response. According to the deathbot, "Nah, your city sucks."

Wovenwar have debuted their latest single, "World On Fire," along with a corresponding drum play-through video. The track will appear on the band's forthcoming record, 'Honor is Dead,' which is set for release on October 21 via Metal Blade Records. The song and video can be streamed below.
The band took a D.I.Y. approach to writing 'Honor is Dead.' Instead of utilizing a studio to record the album, Wovenwar implemented the tools of technology and self-recorded their individual parts in various states across the U.S. This unique method presented its challenges, but the band made it work. "Recording separately across multiple states at different times with a mixing engineer bouncing between multiple countries made things very tricky," explained guitarist Nick Hipa. "Luckily we've all made records before and everything ended up working out."
'Honor is Dead' can be pre-ordered in various formats here.
