Garbage Pail Kids trading cards were always the alternative children's collector's item. Depicting morbid and homely satirical versions of the beloved Cabbage Patch Kids, the cards were inherently grotesque and bizarre in nature. And, let's face it, the bizarre have always been rooted in metal. Now, Topps (the toy company responsible for Garbage Pail Kids) have redesigned several rock musicians as Garbage Pail Kids, including Axl Rose.

The "Overworked Axl/Gunnin' for Rose" card depicts the iconic frontman sitting on his throne with a broken foot while his GNR compadres pull him to his right while the members of ACDC pull him to his left.

The cards also depict other artists such as Morrissey, The Cure, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more.

With the political heat being turned up in the states this year with the 2016 election approaching, the turmoil has been reflected in a lot of the music and art being released today. Alter Bridge has been one to incorporate these themes into its music, which is evident in new single "Show Me a Leader." The band has dropped the corresponding music video to its powerful song, which is directed by Zev Deans.

With an ominous color scale of reds and black, the animated video portrays politicians as suit-clad people with megaphone heads. In an effort to thwart the dangerous transmissions being to the world by the megaphones, Alter Bridge perform on a rooftop and broadcast the message of "Show Me a Leader" out into the airways via satellite. The video can be seen below.

Upon debuting "Show Me a Leader," frontman Myles Kennedy said of the lyrics that they "reflect the frustrations that a lot of people are feeling with the current state of the world. The world is looking for trustworthy effective leadership and not this undignified dog and pony show that's really made a mockery of our system."

"Show Me a Leader" is the debut single off of Alter Bridge's fifth studio album 'The Last Hero,' which is set for release on October 7 via Caroline Records.

Last week, we shared the video of Chicago-based guitarist Rob Scallon and guitarist Sarah Longfield covering "Payback" by Slayer on ukuleles. In case you missed it, the duo also tackled Cannibal Corpse's "Evidence in the Furnace" on ukuleles as well. Don't be thrown off by the idea of cross pollinating ukuleles and metal because it actually sounds crazy heavy!

Watch the video below and comment which songs you hope to see them cover next.

In a hilarious new video segment from Orange Amps, brothers Troy Sanders (Mastodon) and Kyle Sanders (Hellyeah) duke it out in a bass face off.

Set in the distant future, an aged Troy Sanders can be seen living in squalor as he engorges on fried chicken and beer. The bassist was flipping through the channels when he came across the footage of the battle that ended his career. In the clip, the brothers had squared off in an epic bass battle. While Troy was fighting to keep his championship title, Kyle was there to claim the title for himself.

The hilarious five minute video not only pokes fun at sportscaster commentary, but it also depicts the musical titans decked out in clothing from 1970 while they do hilarious stretches and poses in preparation for their head to head battle.

The bass playing duo engaged in their battle using a plethora of Orange gear. While Kyle hooked up to two 4 Stroke 500's through an OBC810 Cab, his opponent uses his double OB1-500 amps through a OBC115 and OBC410H full stack. According to the video, "the advantage of the 4 Stroke is a class AB solid state amp with all analogue circuitry. It features a full-tone stack which allows for an unparalleled level of control over EQ." As for Troy's gear "the key to the OB1's unique sound is Orange's footswitchable blend circuit which adds a veneer of controllable gain and increases harmonic content at the upper register of the input signal."

Watch the climatic ending of the battle below to see how Troy Sanders lost his title.

Extreme metal quintet Skeletonwitch are launching an exclusive beer with 3 Floyds Brewing Co.

The "Red Death Sour" Ale comes in at 8.5 percent and has juicy hints of tropical fruit-pineapple, mellow funky cheese and a slight barnyard dry finish topped with cherry, raspberry, pear, and plum aromas.

Guitarist Scott Hedrick said, "It's no secret that Skeletonwitch have an affinity for beer. It only makes sense that we partnered with one of the most 'metal' and consistently top-notch breweries out there. 'The Red Death Awaits You. Fall into the Depths.'"

Meaning, this isn't the first time the Indiana-based craft brewery has teamed up with metal bands—3 Floyds have also done collaborations with Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse, Pig Destroyer, and more.

3 Floyds Head Brewer, Chris Boggess added, "'Red Death' is the product of an unholy blend of a sour grand cru fermented and aged in a foeder for 18 months and a Cherry Imperial Berliner Weisse."

The beer will be available on tap and bottled at 3 Floyds Brewery in Munster, Indiana and throughout their distribution area on Labor Day. Due to the year long fermenting process of the sour, the first batch was limited to only 100 barrels, make sure to check 3floyds' website to find out where you can pick one up before they are gone.

Skeletonwitch recently released its EP, 'The Apothic Gloom,' via Prosthetic Records.

While Black Sabbath has been bidding fans farewell as they have embarked on the last leg of the iconic band's "The End" tour, frontman Ozzy Osbourne isn't quite ready to hang it up for good yet. When asked what his plans were after the tour in a recent interview with Metro.us, the Prince of Darkness said, "I'm currently playing around with some song ideas. I have a few things jotted down and once Black Sabbath is off the road, I will be heading into the studio with my band to get the songs recorded. Once it's all in the can you can be sure to see me back on the road again."

Upon being asked if he wanted to retire in a separate interview with Rolling Stone, Ozzy also said "I'm going to continue solo. I don't know if I want to tour extensively much more, but I will still keep my fingers in the pie." Addressing comments made by wife/manager Sharon Osbourne who said that she "doesn't want Ozzy singing 'Crazy Train' at 75," the legend remarked "we'll see."

Black Sabbath's touring band currently consists of original members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler with Ozzy's solo drummer Tommy Clufetos behind the kit. After reuniting five years ago and releasing the final album '13' in 2013, the band announced that they would be retiring in 2015. Earlier this year, the iconic outfit released an eight song EP titled 'The End.' Black Sabbath's final "goodbye" will take place in San Antonio on August 12.

16 year old Brazilian guitar wizard Luís Kalil recently released his second album, 'Sunset Daredevil.' Today, he has teamed up with Revolver to premiere his new music video, "If." Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments!

Kalil said, "'If' is a song that talks about the power of this word—how many possibilities and parallel lives it opens in our mind, how much it influences ourselves and our future decisions. I always wanted to write a song about it because it's something that everyone goes through. The melodies and riffs really touch me, and once I wrote it I knew it would be perfect for my first music video.

"The music video was produced by the prizewinning filmmaker Ulisses da Mota, who brought an awesome crew to work along with us. I'm really excited about it and I hope everyone can get the same feel listening and watching this!"
