10,000 Things That Didn't Exist When Tool Released '10,000 Days'

From Bitcoin to South Sudan

It's been a long-ass time since Tool dropped their last album, 10,000 Days — 12 years to be precise, long enough for Maynard James Keenan to be making Chinese Democracy cracks. Not quite 10,000 actual days (that would be a little over 27 years), but still a long-ass time. The band has finally started recording; in the meantime, a lot has changed in the past dozen years. Here are 10,000 things that did not exist back in April, 2006, when Tool's fourth full-length was a shiny new toy.
