Alice in Chains Playing "Battle Concert" in 'AdventureQuest 3D,' 'AQWorlds' Video Games

A virtual show complete with monster-filled mosh pit

Following in the virtual footsteps of their summer tour mates Korn, Alice in Chains are now playing a non-stop "battle concert" in the multiplayer video games AdventureQuest 3D and AQWorlds, just as Jonathan Davis and Co. did in August. Alice in Chains' show will repeat continuously, with a brief intermission in between each set, from November 7th to the 30th, with players able to not only take in the performance but also battle demonic beasts in a monster-filled mosh pit and score loots by defeating their foes. Fans of the Seattle icons also have the opportunity to purchase an Alice in Chains item collection in game — it includes exclusive band armors, musical items, pets, weapons, travel forms, rare badges and a backstage pass allowing players to take virtual selfies with the virtual Jerry Cantrell, William DuVall, Mike Inez and Sean Kinney. For more information on the battle concert, visit Artix.com/AIC.

Alice in Chain's appearance in the games is just the latest nontraditional undertaking for the band since the release of their latest album, Rainer Fog, last year. The group also produced an entire sci-fi/horror feature film, Black Antenna, as a tie-in to the LP; the movie was split up into 10 episodes, each corresponding to a different song off the album, which were rolled out on YouTube over a few months.
