Beavis and Butt-Head fans finally got the news they've been waiting for: a title, a release date and an official synopsis for their long-awaited upcoming movie. Dubbed Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe — a gloriously simple follow-up to their 1996 classic, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America — is set to arrive on Paramount+ this coming summer, and its creators are describing it as "perhaps the dumbest space movie ever made."

Last year, the lovably moronic metalheads resurfaced with a teaser clip announcing a new movie was on the horizon, and earlier this year creator Mike Judge tweeted a folllow-up confirmation along with a couple sketches of the guys in their current middle-aged form — heavier, with less hair and stranger looking than ever. Now, during this year's ViacomCBS Investors Event, the company announced that Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe will hit the Paramount+ streaming service this coming July, along with new episodes of the TV show — which were originally slated to air on Comedy Central, but have now been acquired for Paramount+.

We don't know anything else about the substance of the TV reboot, but we do have the official synopsis of the movie — and it sounds fucking perfect.

"In perhaps the dumbest space movie ever made, Beavis and Butt-Head are sentenced to Space Camp by a 'creative' judge in 1998," the synopsis reads. "Their obsession with a docking simulator (huh huh) leads to a trip on the Space Shuttle, with predictably disastrous results. After going through a black hole, they reemerge in our time, where they look for love, misuse iPhones, and are hunted by the Deep State. Spoiler: They don't score."
