'Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe': Watch Hilarious First Trailer

"Penetrating space"

Back in February 2021, beloved metalhead miscreants Beavis and Butt-Head resurfaced with the announcement of a coming new movie. "And it's gonna be on Paramount+ — kickass," Beavis noted in the video teaser posted at the time. "You said mount," Butt-Head snickered.

Today (June 2nd), the animated feature, titled Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, got its first trailer and a release date: June 23rd. The teaser sees our heroes "penetrating space" on a NASA mission in 1998 — the year after the original MTV series ended — and end up time-traveling to the present day. As the U.S. government tries to track them down, the two struggle to adapt to modern life.

Judge wrote and directed the film and, of course, voiced both of the titular protagonists. Gary Cole, Chris Diamantopoulos, Nat Faxon, Brian Huskey, Chi McBride, Tig Notaro, Stephen Root, Andrea Savage, Martin Starr and Jimmy O. Yang play supporting cast members. No word yet if any Danzig or Morbid Angel music videos will be viewed.
