Beavis and Butt-Head React to YouTube and TikTok Videos in New Reboot

Many a metalhead grew up watching Beavis and Butt-Head on MTV chanting, "Breaking the law! Breaking the law!" and mocking an assortment of music videos. Many of those same heshers were stoked to learn the lovable doofuses will be returning to the screen this summer for a feature film on Paramount+ called Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe.

Promotional material touted the flick as "perhaps the dumbest space movie ever made." In other words, all was right with the world. But wait! There could be trouble in paradise and it's not because we need TP for our bungholes.

The terrible twosome won't be tearing down music videos in the new reboot, instead they're getting with the times and will be commenting on YouTube and TikTok videos. Beavis and Butt-Head creator Mike Judge revealed that fact an interview with Consequence.

"That just sort of came up [regarding Beavis and Butt-Head reacting to YouTube and TikTok videos]. Like, there's just so much to watch. We were limited to [music videos] on MTV, but the world is cluttered with so much video now," Judge told Consequence.

"Now, whatever the demographic that was watching music videos [in the Nineties] is probably watching this kind of TikTok stuff. And we all watch YouTube."

There's surely more than a few YouTube and TikTok creators who could use to be taken down a peg by B&B, but will the chemistry still feel the same if they aren't ripping on all our favorite rock bands? We won't have to wait long to find out, as Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe debuts on Paramount+ in July along with a new set of television episodes.
