Beavis and Butt-head: See Hilarious 9-Minute Preview of New Paramount+ Series

Boneheaded duo talk to fire, mock TikToks and more

Every metalhead's favorite snickering boneheads Beavis and Butt-Head are back and as stupid as ever with a brand-new season of the show coming to the Paramount+ streaming service in August.

Ahead of the series debut, a nine-minute teaser has been released on the platform's official YouTube channel. It finds Beavis conversing with a sentient dumpster fire who commands him to fulfill several mundane and even considerate tasks like picking up bottles for the recycling bin, running a mile and reading Call of the Wild for a book report — that last request being the straw that breaks the camel's back for our hero. He promptly enters the store the dumpster belongs to and has a manager come to extinguish the bossy flame.

Beavis and Butthead are also seen back on their trusty couch (and in their signature Metallica and AC/DC tees) but, in a modern update, the video they skewer is a TikTok by an ex-inmate on how to create prison ink. Though we'd rather watch them view heavy-metal music videos like they did in their heyday, the gruesome twosome's inane riffing on the social media clip is, at least, as hilariously half-baked as ever.

Judging from June's Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe movie and this extended preview of the TV series, creator Mike Judge hasn't lost even a little bit of comedic steam since the show's original premiere way back in 1993. The show is set to premiere on Paramount+ August 4th.
