Courtney Love has some beef with the latest pop superstar, Olivia Rodrigo. Last Thursday, the "Drivers License" singer announced a livestream concert called Sour Prom by sharing a photo of herself decked out in high-school dance attire with eyeliner running down her face. Rodrigo's getup bore a striking resemblance to the artwork for Hole's 1994 album, Live Through This, and Love took issue with the similarities, acccusing Rodrigo of "stealing an original idea."

In a cheeky Instagram post, the 56-year-old rock vet shared a cropped version of Rodrigo's photo with the caption, "Spot the difference! #twinning," while also making sure to tag the 18-year-old sensation directly. Rodrigo replied to the post saying, "love u and live through this sooooo much," to which Love replied with even more sass. "Olivia—you're welcome. My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! Dm me for deets! I look forward to reading your note!"

As Billboard points out, Love continued to air her grievances with Rodrigo and her team on Facebook. "It was rude of her, and geffen not to ask myself or Ellen von Unwerth," Love said, referring to Rodrigo's label Geffen Records and the photographer [Unwerth] who helmed the Live Through This cover art. "It's happened my whole career so I d c. But manners is manners!"

"Stealing an original idea and not asking permission is rude," Love said in another Facebook comment. "There's no way to be elegant about it. I'm not angry. It happens all the time to me. But this was bad form."

"That's not bullying or bomb throwing," she continued. "This person's music has nothing to do with my life. Possibly never will. It was rude and I [have] every right to stick up for my work. Don't gatekeep me! I'm honorable as fuck to my fellow artists, and I expect the same."

In yet another Facebook comment, Love once again called out Geffen Records and made a dig about Rodrigo's role in the Disney show High School Musical: The Musical: The Series."It's on GEFFEN," she wrote. "I've informed her I await her flowers and note. I sure hope it's long. Does Disney teach kids reading and writing? God knows. Let's see."

"Yes this is rude," she continued. "Rage inducing? Honey if I had a dollar for everyone this happens? I'd be real rich!"

Rodrigo has yet to offer a further response to Love's accusations.
