Hear Comedian Bill Burr Recount "Fucking Life-Altering Experience" at Meshuggah Concert

Actor describes first time seeing Swedish band live on his "Monday Morning Podcast"

Back in October, comedian/actor Bill Burr gushed over Meshuggah on his "Monday Morning Podcast," calling the experimental metal legion's music "amazing" and "unbelievable." The Breaking Bad and F is For Family star recently took to his podcast to lavish even more praise upon the Swedes after catching the band live for the first time ever last month, describing the show as "a fucking life-altering experience."

"I can't remember the last time I saw a fucking band that blew my mind like that," said Burr, going on to mimic drummer Tomas Haake's polyrhythmic performances. "On top, he's like [hi-hat, snare sounds] and underneath, urta, urta, urta, urta — it's like you're going insane," he said animatedly. "You know, I always felt like if you ever heard voices, like, that's the music version of that song; up top would be somebody talking to you, going like 'Hey, yeah, I wanna go to the mall,' maybe, 'I heard they opened like a new fucking Starbucks, blah blah, blah' and underneath there's demons going dah-di, dah-di, dah-di, dah-di."

"I can't say enough how fucking unbelievable that band is, and you're doing yourself a disservice as a human being if you never see them live," Burr said later. "It was fucking unbelievable."
