'It Chapter Two' Trailer: See Pennywise Return to Kill Again 27 Years Later

Murderous clown is back to terrorize Derry and grownup Losers Club members

Only two years have gone by since Stephen King's classic novel It was re-re-reinterpreted for the screen, but for the coming seque to the 2017 film, It Chapter Two, the plot has lurched forward 27 years and the now-adult members of the Losers Club once again have to fight off the horror of Pennywise the clown as he returns to commit another string of child murders in the sleepy burg of Derry, Maine. Mike Hanlon, the only Loser to remain in the town as a grownup, is now Derry's librarian and calls up the rest of the gang to come back in time to save future victims from the kind of fates they watched play out nearly three decades prior.

Andy Muschietti returns as director along with Gary Dauberman (also known for his work on The Nun) in charge of adapting the novel into screenplay once more. Starring Bill Skarsgård as the monstrous circus freak and actors such as Jessica Chastain, James Macavoy and Bill Hader, the film is due out September 6th. According to King, it's good: "Looking forward to IT CHAPTER 2? You should be. Ive seen it, and it's terrific. The trailer is coming Thursday, at noon You'll float," the esteemed author posted on Twitter Tuesday, May 7th. Now that trailer — watch it above and judge for yourself.
