Earlier this month, it was revealed that metal-loving actor Jason Momoa handpicked Canadian tech-death outfit Archspire to appear in the first episode of his new Apple TV show See. Vocalist Oli Peters has now opened up to Indiewire about his further work with the exuberant actor, which included teaching Momoa his own special guttural vocal technique for a war-cry scene in the show.

"Jason has such an interest in music and has done aggressive acting scenes before," Peters said, "so he was a quick learner for this."

The two took their time in getting familiar with Peters' techniques and communicated via text while Archspire was on tour. The singer would visit the show's set in his free time and run lines with Momoa in between scenes to further familiarize him with the true form of a death-metal vocalist.

While the experience was quite different than playing the dark concert halls Peters and the rest of Archspire are used to as heavy-metal musicians, the singer explained that having been filmed for videos and other music-related endeavors helped him get the hang of working on the set.

"Already having the background experience of being in front of cameras while playing and having to have high energy during go time helped us out with being on screen," he said. "Being on a big-budget TV set was a trip, and Jason putting us in speaks to the creative side of what he does. He has this crazy reputation and status, but he's just a fun metal dude."

Below, see a clip of Peters showing off his terrifying roar while Momoa narrates, watches and learns with unabashed delight.
