Joe Manganiello Snuck a Metallica Song Into Wedding With Sofia Vergara

Plus, 'True Blood' actor and proud metalhead launches new 'Dungeons & Dragons' streetwear line

Earlier this month, at San Diego Comic Con, True Blood and Magic Mike star Joe Manganiello launched Death Saves, a new streetwear label inspired by the actor's lifelong passions for heavy-metal and high fantasy geekery. Amid the press tour for the collection's inaugural drop — a Dungeons & Dragons-themed capsule of shirts, jackets, pins and more — the famously private actor opened up Stephen Colbert about his passion for D&D (watch above), as well as to Sirius XM's Eddie Trunk about his 2015 wedding to Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara. More specifically, he revealed his successful plan to sneak Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" into the ceremony.

"We got these violin and cello players [for the ceremony]," explained Manganiello. "I called them and said, 'Can you convert 'Nothing Else Matters' into violin and cello?"

Yes, the musicians could. The plan was a-go. "I'm walking down the aisle to go up to the altar to get married, and my friends are turning around giving me the devil horns," recalled the actor. "My mother turned to me and goes — 'Oh, this song is beautiful! What is it?' And I go, 'It's Metallica.'"

Listen to the exchange below.

Death Saves' first drop is available now. See examples of their offerings below:
