Horror enthusiast and Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett has teamed with collectible vinyl toy company Funko to create two figures for their POP! line based on a combination of the curly-haired guitarist's likeness and two classic Universal Monsters: Frankenstein's Monster and the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

"I love these ! Thanks @OriginalFunko," Hammett captioned a photo on Twitter where he's seen cheesing with the two completed toys. The company's run will contain only 1008 pieces in the collection and they will not appear for sale online, only in person at the Royal Ontario Museum starting July 13th in conjunction with the "It's Alive! Classic Horror and Sci-Fi Art from the Kirk Hammett Collection" exhibit that runs until January 5, 2020.

Limited to one per person, the figures will be available for museum members on-site one day before the exhibit opens. Hammett himself will join the museum on July 23rd for a conversation walking attendees through the history of his extensive collection, considered one of the most valuable and exclusive in the world and containing notable items such as costumes worn by legendary horror actors Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff.

"I've been a collector ever since I was a child," Hammett told Revolver back in 2012. "I got into horror stuff when I was 5 years old. I never ever really stopped maintaining my interest and fascination with it."

Below, watch Kirk Hammett give us a tour of his "It's Alive" collection when it debuted in Salem, Massachusetts.
