Faith No More and Dead Cross frontman Mike Patton has apparently tapped his film-scoring skills once again to create the main theme for upcoming vampire-themed supernatural horror series on AMC, NOS4A2.
The news was originally reported by fan site Faith No More Followers, and later confirmed via Twitter by Joe Hill, the author of the show's source material, a bestselling 2013 novel of the same name. "This is true," announced Hill (who also happens to be the son of Stephen King), before adding his endorsement: "Mike Patton slays."

The show centers around the character Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto), "a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children" as described by AMC's website. What is left of the tragic children inhabit an icy village called Christmasland, where unhappiness is forbidden and every day is – you guessed it – Christmas. In the trailer (see above), a heroine named Vic McQueen can be seen encroaching on Manx's territory, ready to free the trapped children inside.
Patton was reportedly slated to create the series' entire soundtrack following the success of his work on 1922, a film based on Hill's father Stephen King's novella, but time constraints limited his involvement with the project to scoring only the main title sequence and the first episode. Patton's work on other film scores can be heard in such films as 2012's A Place Among The Pines and 2009's Crank: High Voltage before the release of NOS4A2 on June 2nd.
