Revolver Launches Streetwear Collection

Zoo York/Shut Skateboards' Eli Morgan Gesner and videographer Shomi Patwary designing the line

Revolver, the iconic hard-rock and metal brand that includes Revolver Magazine and Revolvermag.com, has launched a streetwear collection under the design direction of longtime streetwear and skate designer Eli Morgan Gesner, filmmaker and graphic designer Shomi Patwary and Revolver's new Co-Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Skip Williamson.

Zoo York/Shut Skateboards founder and designer Eli Morgan Gesner designed the collection with video and creative visuals by cinematographer/filmmaker Shomi Patwary (A$AP Rocky, Pusha T, the Weeknd, Diplo, Beyoncé).

"Eli, Shomi and I are longtime friends and we're excited to team together to create an authentic metal streetwear brand with the gravitas of the Revolver foundation," explained Williamson, who is also known for his film work, producing both the Underworld and Crank franchises. "Shomi and Eli are both secret metalheads so I know we'll have a blast experimenting with the new line. Collaborations with a couple of metal legends are in the pipeline, as well as some of the cool heavy-music gear companies and skate brands. On the one hand, we're stoked a lot of current brands have been inspired by metal, but on the other we are really looking forward to bringing some designs straight from the source so to speak."

The line continues fashion's interwoven relationship with branded media partners as a form of self-expression. From skateboarding institution Thrasher Magazine to classic punk outlet Slash Magazine, counterculture has continued to evoke the names of their influencers via clothing.

The initial Revolver collection is available now exclusively via shop.revolvermag.com. The limited-edition capsule collections Williamson mentioned will be announced over the next year.
