It's been over a decade since Rob Zombie released The Devil's Rejects, his 2005 cult horror film. After teasing a potential sequel to the movie — which continued the violent saga sparked in his directorial debut, 2003's House of 1,000 Corpses — in an interview with Bloody Disgusting last Halloween, Zombie has confirmed that he's begun shooting the long-overdue follow-up, titled 3 From Hell.
"It's all true!" Zombie wrote in an Instagram post today (March 13th), "Day one shooting 'Three From Hell'!" He didn't offer any plot specifics, aside from "the murder and madness continues." (So much for our dreams of a family-friendly Rob Zombie movie.)

UPDATE: Zombie has confirmed that Danny Trejo—who played the "Unholy Two" henchman Rondo in The Devil's Rejects—will return in the upcoming movie. Zombie posted a photo of the two actors on Instagram (see below) with the caption: "Well kids, Rondo aka @officialdannytrejo is back and ready to get crazy in 3 From Hell."
Presumably, 3 From Hell will pick up where The Devil's Rejects left off, with (SPOILER ALERT!) a dramatic, Bonnie and Clyde-style shooting that finished off Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig), Otis (Bill Moseley) and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie) — or so audiences were led to believe. Back in October, Zombie told Bloody Disgusting of his plans to resurrect his beloved antiheroes for the sequel. Get ready for some spooky shit!
Three From Hell isn't the only thing Zombie's got lined up on the docket for the coming months. This summer, he'll hit the road with Marilyn Manson for a co-headlining trek they've dubbed "Twins of Evil: The Second Coming," which will hit cities across North America through late August; a full itinerary for the jaunt can be found here. Zombie has yet to officially announce a follow-up to his most recent full-length, 2016's The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser, but according to guitarist John 5, it's done and it's the horror rocker's best album yet.
