CoolSculpting is a fat-freezing procedure that, according to the company's website, "uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat that resists all efforts through diet and exercise." A new television spot for the procedure imagines an alternate fat-elimination treatment called "Metal Vibration Therapy," which essentially involves blasting a patient's love handles with the sound waves generated by a hair-metal shredder playing through a wall of Marshalls. "Not cool," the voiceover announces, after we watch the waves undulate the poor patient's stomach and ultimately crack the glass window of the sound booth. What is cool, according to the ad? CoolSculpting, of course. Personally, we'll take vigorous moshing and headbanging as our "metal" fat-loss therapy — but that's just us. See the commercial below.
