Metallica have announced that Wednesday, May 22nd will mark the group's second annual All Within My Hands "Day of Service," the follow-up to last year's first-ever event, which enlisted more than 1,000 volunteers to work at local food banks across the U.S. James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo and Lars Ulrich shared the news in a video posted across Metallica's channels, again inviting fans to volunteer for a day at area food banks and to join the band in the fight against hunger.
Over 50 food banks will be participating in this year's activities — more than twice as many as in 2018 — and each registered volunteer will receive a special All Within My Hands T-shirt commemorating our united Day of Service. Space is limited and therefore registering in advance is mandatory. For a complete list of participating food banks and information on how to register to volunteer, go to metallica.com or allwithinmyhands.org.
