See Metallica's Kirk Hammett Talk Misfits, Sabbath and Fave Horror Movies on 'Metal and Monsters' Show

Plus segments on Type O Negative, Anthrax and more

Earlier this year, Gibson TV premiered a new video series called Metal and Monsters dedicated to the worlds of heavy metal and monster culture, and hosted by Matt "Count D" Montgomery, bassist for the one and only Rob Zombie. Today (October 27th), the series unveiled its first-ever Halloween special, featuring headlining guest and famous horror fanatic Kirk Hammett of Metallica.

In the episode, Count D sits down with Hammett at the historic Los Angeles Theatre to discuss monsters, metal, and horror memorabilia, diving into some of their favorite films such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Exorcist and Nosferatu, and bands such as Black Sabbath and the Misfits.

Elsewhere in the 60-minute Halloween special, Count D chats with Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante to dig into the thrash pioneers' 40-year-plus history. The bass player also revisits Type O Negative's landmark album October Rust and gives fans a chance to win some exclusive prizes — including a copy of Revolver's sold-out Type O collector's issue. Finally, in a segment called "Terror Trek," Count D takes the monster squad on a field trip to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios in Hollywood to visit creative director John Murdy and learn how the mazes there are designed and constructed.
