See Rob Halford Tell How 'Walking Dead' Character Daryl Inspired Leather Jacket

Judas Priest front man joined actor Norman Reedus on recent episode of 'Ride'

On last night's Ride With Norman Reedus, Judas Priest front man and leather daddy fashion icon Rob Halford gave the Walking Dead star the treat of a lifetime when he not only allowed him to try on one of his stunning studded creations, he let Reedus know the jacket was inspired by his character on the show zombie apocalypse show, Daryl Dixon.

"I'd like to show you something," says Halford as Reedus looks on shocked and claims "No way!" The rocker continues, "Yes! This is part of the heavy metal culture." He drapes the coat over the star's shoulders and they engage in a few horn-throwing poses while Halford explains, "Believe it or not, the vest that you wear as Daryl was the inspiration for that coat."

As the camera pans up and down the length of the elaborate garment's exquisite details, Reedus admits, "I might be crying a little bit right now." The two continue chatting for a bit before the actor lunges toward Halford for a hug full of gratitude and awe.

Halford isn't the only rockstar to join Reedus for some motorcycling action this season. Check out the crazy teasers — including some wild appearances by Marilyn Manson — here. The show airs on Sunday nights at 10pm Eastern time on AMC.
