Kicking off the second half of their 10-part sci-fi horror film Black Antenna, Alice in Chains have now debuted the sixth episode — and it's full of paranoid delusion, interplanetary sexual indulgence, and a fearful confrontation that deepens a rift between the movie's father-daughter lead duo.
Beginning in a luxurious, neon-lit setting like something straight out of Stanley Kubrick's swansong Eyes Wide Shut, the clip focuses on "the Preacher" hunting down the "illegal aliens" he's been tracking. A model-esque companion talks with him as masked revelers look on as a slime-coated woman writhes naked on a table reminiscent of an altar while engaged in a bestial sex act with a tentacled creature. The raunchy, Lovecraftian scenario carries on as the scene jumps to a conversation between the female lead, whose new friend questions why she's acting as a sex worker and why her father pimps her out.
When confronting her father, the girl lashes out and speaks in English for the first time rather than via their usual telepathic communications. The father is angered and asks why she's talking "like them." They argue over her future as the duo's sole income provider, the scene ending on a sad note when the father reminds her they have to do this so their family can join them later. "We're here to do one thing," he explains. "And then our people can join us."
