Slipknot's Corey Taylor Details New 80s Horror Movie Doc 'In Search of Darkness'

Genre stalwarts like John Carpenter, Doug Bradley will appear in special "Collector's Edition" of film

"My name is Corey Taylor," the Slipknot frontman states in a new trailer for his coming "Collector's Edition" version of the documentary In Search of Darkness. "I am an avid, avid horror fan. We're about to fuck your day up."

Taylor and his masked bandmates in Slipknot have been hot on the tour and promotional trail since the release of We Are Not Your Kind earlier this year. But that hasn't prevented the singer from working on the special edition of this film. Directed by David A. Weiner, In Search of Darkness promises to be "the most comprehensive documentary on '80s horror ever made" with 280 minutes of content and more than 45 contributing characters, including John Carpenter, Child's Play director Don Mancini, film critic and writer Joe Bob Briggs, A Nightmare on Elm Street's Heather Langenkamp, and Pinhead himself of the Hellraiser franchise, Doug Bradley.

Featuring interviews, commentary, analysis of different films, and a host of favorites chosen by Taylor himself, the collectible DVD and Blu-Ray of the movie will be available for one month only via pre-order, ending at midnight on Halloween night, October 31st. For the cost of $59.99, buyers will receive the film, a collector's edition movie poster, a unique Corey Taylor pin not available anywhere else, a high-quality postcard featuring artwork created specially for the film by horror artist Graham Humphreys, and a digital download. If that sounds like a good time to you, pre-order In Search of Darkness here, because it "will never be streamed or put up for sale again."
