Amon Amarth have received one of the biggest endorsements a heavy-metal Viking could possibly ask for. In the debut issue of Marvel's new comic, Heroes Reborn, the God of Thunder himself, Thor, is seen rocking an Amon Amarth T-shirt.
The premise of the new series, which hit stands on May 5th, takes place in a timeline when many of Marvel's classic characters are out of touch with their heroic inclinations. According to Marvel's official description, Heroes Reborn examines a "world where Tony Stark never built an Iron Man armor. Where Thor is a hard-drinking atheist who despises hammers. Where Wakanda is dismissed as a myth. And where Captain America was never found in the ice because there was no Avengers to find him" [via Loudwire].
This particularly disheveled version of Thor seems like he could use some inspiration from the thunderous death-metal band on his T-shirt. You'll have to pick up the comic to see what happens, but you can check out a page of it below via Amon Amarth's Twitter.
