Late last year, TOOL launched their first-ever statue offering, a half-sized "Fetus in Skull" maquette inspired by visionary artist Alex Grey's "Skull Fetus" artwork(s) for 2001's Lateralus and 2006's 10,000 Days. TOOL fans being TOOL fans, the deluxe edition signed by the band and retailing for $999 sold out almost immediately.
Today (March 15th), TOOL have followed up that offering with a new life-sized edition of the statue that, according to the band, represents a more realistic and finished version of the original "study." Limited quantities are set to become available on March 24th at noon EST via the band's online shop. Check back then, and see a mockup of the latest piece below.
