'Valfaris': See Wild Heavy-Metal Video Game Scored By Ex-Celtic Frost Guitarist

2D action-platformer promises "brutal combat, deadly enemies, stunning pixel art" and "savage soundtrack" by Curt Victor Bryant

Former shredder for Swiss extremists Celtic Frost Curt Victor Bryant has laid down a new set of riffs for the score of a new heavy-metal video game called Valfaris, and now you can see a trailer for the explosive, battle-filled gameplay within. Brought to you buy Big Sugar, the game is a 2D action-platformer set in deep space that promises "Brutal combat. Deadly enemies. Stunning pixel art. Savage soundtrack," and urges players to "Get ready to rip the galaxy a new wormhole."

 

While in the lead role of Therion (another Celtic Frost connection: their 1985 debut is titled To Mega Therion), players will return to their once-great home of Valfaris and defend it from a growing, insidious evil forces present. In addition to the trailer, potential players can see snippets of gameplay and artwork on the game's official Instagram, Steam, and Twitter. The game will be officially available on October 10th.
