Watch Cane Hill, Halestorm's Lzzy Hale Perform at WWE's NXT Takeover New Orleans

Two acts are latest heavy hitters to appear in WWE programming

In 2018, there's very few televised programs that metal or hard-rock acts can realistically get on, aside from the occasional legacy nod à la  Slayer on Fallon. Clearly, the WWE is aware there's a dearth of heavy-music representation, as they've spent the past year backing metal pretty hard on their NXT programming. Following Code Orange's appearance last August, Saturday's pay-per-view NXT Takeover New Orleans included performances by both Cane Hill and Halestorm singer/guitarist Lzzy Hale. Two Cane Hill tracks were chosen as the show's theme songs, "It Follows" and "Lord of Flies," and the group opened up the show to play the former live.

Later on, NXT Women's Champion Ember Moon was played to the ring by Hale and Cane Hill, who covered the wrestler's theme with some additional theatrics and guitar shreddery.
