Watch Deadpool, Fred Savage Spoof Nickelback in New "Once Upon a Deadpool" Teaser

'Princess Bride' actor joins Ryan Reynolds for "How You Remind Me" sing-along to hype PG-13 recut of 'Deadpool 2'

In their continuing promotional campaign for the upcoming Once Upon a Deadpool — a PG-13-rated re-edited distillation of Deadpool 2 — Ryan Reynolds got back into costume to bicker with former Wonder Years and Princess Bride star Fred Savage about the validity of widely successful and critically panned Canadian rockers Nickelback. Savage's takes are decidedly fiery, using the chance to diss Deadpool's Marvel-via-Fox licensing with a seething comparison.

"It's like if the Beatles were produced by Nickelback. It's music! But it sucks," quips the actor before the vulgar hero cuts in, "Okay that's it, I'm done. I've had it with all this Nickelback hating." He launches into a tirade about the group's Grammy nods and inconceivable number of albums sold (50 million!) before Savage, backing down from his assertion that the band are "overproduced, formulaic ear garbage" just in time for the two to join hands for a duet of Nickelback's 2001 breakout hit "How You Remind Me."

The movie, out this Wednesday, December 12th, will donate one dollar from every ticket sale to Fuck Cancer (temporarily Fudge Cancer in light of the toned-down movie), an organization that is "dedicated to prevention, early detection and providing emotional support and guidance to those affected by cancer."

Reynolds announced Friday on Twitter that he's a Grammy nominee for the Deadpool 2 soundtrack. Check out Marilyn Manson collaborator Tyler Bates' thoughts on scoring the film here.
