Texas crossover-thrash act Power Trip's "Executioner's Tax (Swing of the Axe)" has already made one bizarre appearance on the mainstream cultural landscape when it was featured on Fox News. Now, the crushing cut from 2017's killer Nightmare Logic has broken into the major sporting events arena, in a most epic fashion.
During a break at a recent game between the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons, the arena had some fun with an "Air Guitar Cam" segment during which they trained their camera on a seemingly unassuming guy in the audience and cued up "Executioner's Tax (Swing of the Axe)."
Much to everyone's surprise, the fan took the bait, stood up, threw off his button-up to reveal an Anthrax T-shirt, and started hammering away. The man knew exactly when to dip around in time to the song, setting it off about as perfectly as possible. Power Trip themselves picked up on it, Tweeting the video out with the caption, "no escape from the power of the riff."
