Watch 'Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown' Episode Featuring Serj Tankian

System of a Down singer eats, talks heritage, history with rogue chef/CNN host

As part of the latest season of his CNN original series Parts Unknown, veteran chef, bestselling author and world traveler Anthony Bourdain visited Armenia for one of his typically deep looks at the culture and history of the country. His guides on the episode, which originally aired May 20th, include historian/Armenian resident Richard Giragosian and a certain musician of Armenian descent, System of a Down singer Serj Tankian, who reached out to the TV host and ultimately convinced him to feature the country on his show.

In the 40-minute-plus piece, Bourdain breaks bread with Tankian at the restaurant Dolmama in Yerevan, where the singer talks about his heritage, his first trip to Armenia and his personal connection to the cause of shining a light on the 1915 genocide that still haunts the country.
