In a hilariously offbeat new trailer for upcoming dark comedy The Art of Self Defense, actor Jesse Eisenberg portrays Casey, a weak, pathetic man who decides to take the advice of a local Sensei (played by Face/Off actor Alessandro Nivola) and toughen himself up so he can gain more confidence and respect as he travels through life. One of the first big changes that goes down comes when Sensei demands he drop his easy listening and get into heavy metal; in this case, that tough music is Maryland ripping grindcore unit Full of Hell.
In the clip we see Casey hit a local CD store to pick up something meant to inspire his rage. Back in his car, the nerdy protagonist slips the new purchase into his player and looks disturbed as a nearby family regards him with disgust and comically roll up their windows.
The brief but humorous scene acts as a turning point for the martial arts student, and he begins to take control back in his life — through a series of increasingly aggressive and funny interactions.
