Watch Metalhead Defy Hurricane Florence While Blasting Slayer's "Raining Blood"

Self-proclaimed "Florida Man" revisits shirtless, flag-waving, man-versus-nature battle that first went viral in 2016

Twitter user Lane Pittman first made headlines in 2016 when he grabbed an American flag, stripped down to his shorts, and ran out to face Hurricane Matthew while his friend blared the Slayer classic "Raining Blood" nearby as he filmed.

That video went viral, so when Pittman heard about Hurricane Florence's impending arrival, he did what any normal fan would do: started a GoFundMe page, raised over $1000, and drove 350 miles from his home in Jacksonville, Florida to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to meet the storm with his trusty flag and camera man in tow, facing the dangerous high speed winds with the kind of sincere fandom only a true Slayer maniac can possess.

The resulting video is what you see above. The stunt got him so much attention that he's now even being named-dropped by the Foo Fighters on Twitter.
