Watch Motörhead's Phil Campbell, Mikkey Dee Reveal New "Röad Crew" Beer

Icons' limited-edition American IPA hits taps June 23rd

"I just love the life I lead/Another beer is what I need." So declared the late, great Lemmy Kilmister in 1980, on Motörhead's beloved Ace of Spades ripper "(We Are) The Road Crew," one of the greatest beer-guzzling anthems of our time.

Over 30 years later, the icons are giving fans just that with "Röad Crew," a new, limited-edition ale released in partnership with the Kalamazoo, Michigan, brewery Arcadia Brewing Company. Guitarist Phil Campbell and drummer Mikkey Dee previewed the American IPA in a short video, with the former describing it as a "stunner."

This new IPA from Motörhead arrives in the wake of 2016's "Born to Lose" and last year's "Live to Win," the latter of which made our list of the 10 best metal beers of 2017.

Clocking in at 6.2% ABV, "Röad Crew" is described as a "crushable hop-forward India Pale Ale with attitude," featuring floral, citrus and malt notes. The beer will be available in participating stores on June 23rd; while its present rollout is limited to the Great Lakes region of the U.S., the musicians tell us they plan to bring "Röad Crew" to stores across the U.S., so that every booze-loving metalhead can partake in the beer that's "louder than everything else." For more information on the new brew, check out Motörhead Beer's official website.

Additionally, Motörhead have extended an open invite for fans to attend the beer's official launch party, taking place June 23rd Arcadia's Riverfront Brewery, Pub, and Beer Garden in Kalamazoo; the event will feature music, burlesque performances, fire-breathers and of course, beer. Head here to RSVP, but take note: spots are limited.
