Game of Thrones' final season is something of a bittersweet thing, the wait of wanting to see how HBO's epic fantasy show concludes fights against the knowledge that it is actually ending. Over the weekend, HBO released the first official teaser for Season 8, not giving much in the way of story but heavily setting up the vibe for how the season will feel. The clip follows Jon Snow, Arya Stark and Sansa Stark wandering through the Crypts of Winterfell.
On their walk, they see statues of the dead members of their family, remembering a significant quote from each as they wander. Eventually, they wind up at statues of their own selves, and turn around to see a fog of frost start to creep in, signifying the Whitewalkers who appear to be the show's main antagonist for the final season. Who knows who will reign supreme at the end of the season, and it will be interesting to see how the remaining Starks fair in the midst of the realm's other houses. And, HBO revealed when it will all go down: April 14.
