Bamboozle has officially been canceled just one week before it was set to happen.

On the weekend of May 5th-7th, the New Jersey music festival that highlights metal, pop-punk and hip-hop was supposed to return for the first time since 2012. Limp Bizkit, Bad Omens, Papa Roach, Motionless in White, the Acacia Strain, the Callous Daoboys and many more were slated to perform at the three-day affair, but now the whole thing has been called off completely.

The festival shared an official statement on its site and Instagram that reads: "After extensive discussions, we have made the heartbreaking decision to cancel Bamboozle 2023. An incredible amount of time, dedication, passion and hard work was invested into making this comeback a success. We appreciate everyone who supported this festival. Refunds should be requested at point of purchase."

Few other details have been announced, although NJ.com reports the festival did not submit proper documentation by the required deadline to secure its permits.

The festival's Twitter appears to be deactivated, and comments are turned off on its Instagram. As stated by the festival, ticket holders should request a refund at point of purchase.
