Last night (March 3rd), Revolver teamed up with SiriusXM, Century Media, The Orchard, Skateboard Marketing and Arizona Beverage Company to present a very special Body Count listening party for the band's new album, Carnivore, at NYC's Sony Square. The event included a live Q&A hosted by SiriusXM Liquid Metal's Shawn "The Butcher," who interviewed Body Count frontman, hip-hop OG and Law & Order: SVU star Ice-T in front of Revolver contest winners and an music-industry movers and shakers.
Throughout the night, attendees were given various types of complimentary Arizona ice tea, and following the Q&A, guests got a first listen of Carnivore. When the event came to a close at 10 p.m., the interview was broadcasted across several Facebook profiles, including those of Revolver, Body Count, Century Media, Inked and Tattoo Page, where fans can replay it. Some highlights included a hilarious story regarding Ice-T's first encounter with Power Trip's Riley Gale, old memories of collaborating with Slayer for the iconic Judgment Night soundtrack, and how Ice developed a great relationship with Jamey Jasta and Hatebreed — after realizing they weren't affiliated with the KKK. Body Count's Carnivore, which includes guest appearances by Jasta, Gale and Evanescence's Amy Lee, is due out on Century Media Records Friday, March 6th.
