The COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting shutdown of the touring circuit has compelled bands to come up with creative solutions to reaching fans — whether it's livestreamed shows, Twitch Q&As or drive-in concerts. Prog-metal shredders Born of Osiris will be partaking in the last of these, making them one of the first metal bands to play a live drive-in show. Sponsored by Revolver, the event is set to take place Thursday, October 8th, at 7 p.m. in the group's hometown of Chicago at the Lake Shore Drive-In in the parking lot of the Adler Planetarium. Tickets for the drive-in concert can be purchased here.
Each attendee will also receive a gift bag including an exclusive limited-edition poster signed by the members of Born of Osiris. Fans will also be entered into a raffle for prizes such as BoO guitar picks, drumsticks, free merch, a signed tab book, a signed vinyl and an original handwritten lyric sheet. Winners will also receive a free subscription to Revolver magazine.
Tickets are $85 for a two-person car pass or $160 for cars up to four people ($40 per person). If a group has more than four people, additional people can be added for $25 each.
