DETHKLOK announce pair of 2023 shows

Rare live performances from real-life version of 'Metalocalypse' band

Dethklok don't make it onstage often ā€” the real-life incarnation of the Metalocalypse cartoon band, led by the animated series' co-creator Brendon Small, hasn't toured for 11 years, and has only played three shows since then, at the 2014 Festival Supreme and the 2019 and 2022 editions of the Adult Swim Festival Block Party. This makes today's news particularly big.

Dethklok have announced not one but two 2023 shows, at September's Blue Ridge Rock Festival in Alton, Virginia, and October's Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California. So far, they're the group's only scheduled performances of the whole year.

Could the gigs herald the imminent arrival of the new Metalocapyse movie and the rumored new Dethklok album? Only time will tell, but we certainly hope so. In the meantime, get the details on the band's upcoming shows below.
