Since the shocking death of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins in March, his band have been largely silent, releasing one heartfelt statement of grief shortly after his passing and then another canceling all upcoming tour dates. Today (June 8th) the band resurfaced with news of two all-star tribute concerts, presented in partnership with the Hawkins Family.

As announced on the Foos' website, Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee will come together with the Hawkins family to celebrate the life, music and love of their husband, father, brother and bandmate. In addition to the aforementioned artists, the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will unite other famous fans and friends playing the songs that the Foo Fighter drummer "fell in love with, and the ones he brought to life."

The all-star rock & roll shows are set for September 3rd at London's Wembley Stadium and September 27th at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The lineups for each show will be announced shortly. You can sign up to receive information on timings, ticketing links and on sale dates here.
